Some pictures of Yilan

Presentation of Yilan
An hour’s drive southeast of Taipei, Yilan County is a historic aboriginal center, renowned for its gently sloping mountains, rocky coastlines, and beaches. The region’s relatively rainy weather may encourage you to relax in one of the area’s many hot springs. The “small” city of Yilan (population 100,000) has a few places that make it a great first stop if you plan to explore the coast from north to south. Indeed, this region which extends from Yilan to Taitung contains a culture very specific to Taiwan and its first populations of aboriginal and Hakka cultures, in particular. Smaller in size than most other large cities, Yilan has the merit of being on the seaside, and of offering in its region a variety of places including lakes, parks, museums of arts and history of Taiwan, hot springs… And what about the night market of Luodong (city attached to that of Yilan), one of the most popular in Taiwan, and filled with light and delicious local dishes to taste.
