The West Coast 台灣西部
Some photos from the West Coast
Highly urbanized, the west coast is Taiwan’s most populated region. Its landscapes alternate between modern cities and small, more “traditional” villages, seaside and mountains. It is also the gateway to two natural gems that have made Taiwan famous: Sun Moon Lake and Alishan. And for lovers of high-altitude hiking, this is where the serious stuff begins, with Jade Mountain and its national park, with many peaks rising above 3,000 meters.
